The EV Flow Cytometry Working Group is a collaborative initiative, involving scientists, innovators, and experts in the fields of extracellular vesicles, cytometry, and laboratory medicine, to improve methods, standards, and tools available for the study of extracellular vesicles.
Three major societies, the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV), International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC), and the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) have groups of scientists committed to the development of more robust (flow) cytometric methods for the study of submicron particles, including exosomes and other extracellular vesicles.
A first kick-off meeting of interested scientists was held at the ISEV Annual Meeting, April 25, 2015. The Working Group is open to any researchers, innovators, flow cytometrists, laboratory managers, students, and other individuals who are interested in contributing to this field. We encourage participation of biotechnology companies, with instruments or reagents relevant to this area, as well.
